Oilers at 181: Kristians Pelss

6.0, 198. From Latvia. Played for Belarus this past season, went 46gp, 6-3-9 in the regular season and had a nice playoff. Looks 12. Is a forward.

Stu MacGregor: "We saw him at the U-18 World Championships when we were in Belarus. He played extremely well, he has some talent. He's not a big body, but he is a guy we feel has real offensive talent."

  1. Interesting stat line from his 16-year old season.

    Latvia U-18 team (He'd have been 15/16) 27gp 33-21-54.

  2. If you Google him, this blog entry is the first match. That's how much is known about him, apparently.

  10. Thanks. Best day of the year. I'm an hour away from my first beer, may not make it to my self imposed 4pm starting time.

I like the pick, usually coming at this point of the draft, the only skilled NA guys are 5''9 and below.

The rest is hidden in Europe.
