Oilers OptionThree

Oklahoma City Barons website has the latest on Oilers cuts. Yann Danis (on waivers), Colten Teubert (now healthy) and Antti Tyrvainen (showed well) are off to the land where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain.

Story is here. Roster at 32, with Ryan O'Marra, Josh Green and Ryan Keller the likely cuts next time.

  1. If every man had a missus who would update his hockey blog when he was unavailable to do so, what a wonderful world this could be.

    Thanks Mrs. LT!

  2. Mrs. LT for LT? Nice teamwork.

Danis is on waivers? Think he gets claimed?

  3. Dirk, no chance he gets claimed. I'd be shocked.

  4. Thanks Mrs. Mitchell! You're the bestest!

Oh, and make sure Mr. Mitchell does something really nice for you in thanks (that doesn't interfere with the hockey stuff of course
    ;-D ).

  6. Is LT ok? Is he sick? Busy?

Maybe Mrs. LT has put him on waivers

  7. LOL...I'm sure LT is hoping Diane Lane has first choice on the waiver wire :D

  8. Don't be silly. We all know that LT has a 35+ contract. His contract is guaranteed, no matter how poorly he performs. I'm sure the missus would love to trade him for a couple of nice looking prospects and a draft pick, but no one wants to exchange youth for a wiley veteran this early in the season.

  9. Mrs. Lowetide appreciates all the kind words, thinks Cactus is wise, Ducey has it about right and Matt N read her mind.

    :-)

  10. Even with a watertight NMC, you can still wind up riding the leather pine.

And noticing a gleam of light peeping in beside one of the serge curtains, he cheerfully dropped his feet over the edge of the sofa, and felt about with them for his slippers, a present on his last birthday, worked for him by his wife on gold-colored morocco. And, as he had done every day for the last nine years, he stretched out his hand, without getting up, towards the place where his dressing-gown always hung in his bedroom. And thereupon he suddenly remembered that he was not sleeping in his wife's room, but in his study, and why: the smile vanished from his face, he knitted his brows.

This after waking from a nice dream with a glass table singing Italian arias, and "some sort of little decanters on the table, and they were women, too," he remembered.

Immediately he wants to go back to his dream with the enchanting decanters, but there are no little cat naps on the plush couch of agony.

  11. Been impressed with Keller's gumption and speed. Likely a tweener, but could be an adequate fill in for bottom 6 duty.
