  1. That's sad-I was never a big Springsteen fan but the E-street band could play.

  2. I also loved Bruce and the E street band. Was scared shtless that Bruce died when I saw this. Losing Clarence is bad enough but Springsteen is to my teenage years what the Stones are to yours LT.

  3. Clarence Clemon`s performance in Jungleland is one of my favourite sax solos of all time - if not the favourite.

  4. As a teen I so loved belting out "Born to Run" It was one of the first albums I really fell in love with the loss of Mr. Clemon`s is truly a major loss to the music world. May you rest in peace Mr Clemon`s.

  5. Loved Born to Run. I can still remember hearing Thunder Road for the first time. What a great, great album. I don't try to sing Backstreets like the Boss anymore but there was a time when I'd scream that puppy out just like him (except for the talent part).

  6. Not overly familiar with him but do have Friend of Mine MP3. The video with Jackson Brown and Daryl Hannah a little creepy but good tune....

  7. Going to a Springsteen show is about as close to a church revival that I'm going to get. The emotional level from the band and from the audience is so enormous.
Clarence Clemons was a huge part of that.

  8. Clarence Clemons played the hell out of the saxaphone. The passion he played with was the perfect match to the emotion in Springsteen's voice. He made a lot of us fans of the instrument. When I was young, I wore out their albums on my cheap turntables.

    Bruce gives him his intro:

    Rest In Peace, Big Man.
